Hospice Care

Originally founded in 1995, Home Hospice of West Texas currently has grown to be the largest and most used hospice provider in the Permian Basin, which includes Odessa, Midland, Big Spring, Fort Stockton and Andrews. It provides core services on an intermittent schedule and is available for emergencies, 24 hours a day. Services are provided by a team of trained professionals who provide medical care and support services not only to the patient but to the patient's family and loved ones. Hospice care is provided to patients in private homes, nursing homes, and inpatient facilities. Also, respite care can be arranged to support care givers and families of the terminally ill. It also features an inpatient unit in Odessa. The Hospice House is more like a home than an institutional facility.

The two other agencies providing hospice care are Star Hospice and Compass Hospice.
