Churches and Synagogues

There are more than 120 churches and synagogues in Odessa, covering a wide variety of denominations and faiths. These places of worship, together with their membership, are an integral part of the life of the city. Residents, new and old, can find a place to worship that satisfies their needs within Odessa’s diverse religious community. Programs for children, youth, young adults, singles, couples, seniors and more abound. Many community churches offer mother’s day out, children’s day care, private schools, mission outreach and even adult day care services to residents of the community. A visit to the churches in the downtown area is encouraged when exploring Odessa’s vibrant history.
